The ASRS is working on new online functionality that will be released to employers and members in August 2018.
Service Verification is a new online employer application that will replace the paper forms currently used for Verification of Contributions Not Withheld (CNW), Military Call-Up and Leave of Absence service purchases. This application will enable employers to review and submit information using the ASRS secure employer website, which should streamline these processes for employers and allow authorized users to see the current status of requests.
Additionally, the new functionality will create paperless versions of Payroll Deduction Agreements (PDA) and Termination Payment Authorizations. Currently, when a member elects to use a PDA or termination pay as a payment option toward a service purchase, the ASRS sends a paper copy of the document to the employer.
The ASRS will provide more details to employers in the coming months and in the next Employer Update.
