It’s almost that time of year for ASRS employers to attend the ASRS Annual Employer Conference. Registration will open in August for multiple conference dates in September and October. As an ASRS employer, it is your responsibility to attend the annual ASRS Employer Conference, as required by Arizona Revised Statute 38-716.
The ASRS Annual Employer Conference is different from the ASRS Basics for Employers series, which is fundamental training on ASRS processes and procedures targeted toward new employer users. The five-webinar series is held three times a year during the first, second, and fourth quarters. Our annual Conference is held in the fall each year, and brings you information on new legislation and administrative rules, new and future enhancements to employer processes, and important reminders on a variety of topics. You only need to register for one of the 10 dates scheduled.
All topics discussed at our Employer Conference are designed to help you, our partners. Since 2022, we have offered a customizable Conference agenda by offering breakout sessions so attendees can select topics that pertain to their specific roles or responsibilities.
While you may register for any date that best fits your schedule, like last year, we are designating specific dates just for state agencies and universities. By employer request, we are also designating four dates specifically for educational employers. While the majority of the information shared at our employer Conferences applies to all employers, the Conferences designated for educational employers will differ slightly regarding service accrual. State agencies and universities will have slight differences in the Health Insurance Premium Benefit Program, enrollment, and contribution reporting.
All conference dates are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on the following days:

The schedule for each day includes a general session for all attendees followed by four breakout sessions. The general session will include legislative updates and important updates and reminders.
Breakout session topics include information on Supplemental Savings Plans from our Nationwide Retirement Solutions, Long Term Disability from Broadspire, to updates on our Health Insurance Premium Benefit Program. Employers will also have an opportunity to meet with subject matter experts on retirement, service purchase, and contribution reporting.
