Why you should register for secure access

It’s your account!

Whether you are (or were) an active contributing member or a retired member collecting a monthly benefit, you have an account with the ASRS. It’s important to log in and check your account periodically to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date. This also applies to members who have separated employment and are no longer contributing, but still have an account on file with the ASRS.

Members on the ASRS long term disability plan and members receiving a survivor benefit also should be sure they log in to their accounts as well.

Your account balance and lump sum estimates increase over time, so you should check back regularly.

The ASRS has made a host of improvements to the secure section of this website.

All members can make immediate online updates to your address, phone, email, marital status, gender and beneficiaries. All members can also contact us via secure email, watch videos and (as needed) print an Authorization to Release Information form.

Non-retired members can view account balances, see projected retirement, disability and survivor benefits, sign up for meetings, and initiate a number of transactions, including withdrawing your account balance and terminating membership, initiating service purchase transactions, and filling out an online retirement application when the time comes.

Retired members can view payment history, download their latest 1099R, view and update direct deposit and tax selections, file for 'return to work' status, apply for ASRS health insurance and more.

See the table below for a complete list of functions for members before and after retirement.
