Compliance & the Review Process

Each year the ASRS conducts reviews of employer accounts to ensure that our employer partners follow guidelines established in Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) 38-711 through 38-794, as well as Arizona Administrative Code (AAC) Title 2 Chapter 8.

As an ASRS Employer, you may occasionally receive a secure message from our Employer Relations team requesting employee information for our review. These reviews allow our staff to help our employer partners stay compliant and informed as we monitor trends in contribution reporting, ASRS retirees that have returned to work, and the Health Insurance Premium Benefit program, just to name a few.

In addition to potentially needing to correct errors, these reviews allow us to take a preventative approach and focus resources on areas where additional education may be needed or, in some cases, if the resources we provide need to be updated or enhanced.

Because we review hundreds of employers, the review process can be somewhat time-consuming. Once we've received any requested information from you, it may be some time before you receive the results of our review. Your cooperation and your patience with our review process are always appreciated.
