As the Deputy Director and Chief Operations Officer for the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), Jeremiah Scott is the chief architect of the operations, ensuring the agency's strategic goals and objectives are achieved and leading the workforce in all aspects of pension, health insurance, and long-term disability administration.
Jeremiah's education from Arizona State University is in Political Science, with post-grad certifications in Finance from Harvard Business School and a Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma from the Fulton School of Engineering. He has also earned certifications in Work Force Management and Call Center Management.
Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Jeremiah moved to Arizona in his freshman year of High School with his family. He now proudly considers himself both a Bostonian and a Phoenician. Before finding his home at the ASRS, Jeremiah served in the US Army and worked in property and casualty building career and leadership experience that has served him well at ASRS.
Jeremiah firmly believes that government can be more efficient and effective than any private sector entity, and he has led and worked with many amazing groups of individuals who have come together as a team to prove this repeatedly.
