Appointed to the ASRS Board in January 2021
Ashley Retsinas has served as the Arizona State Comptroller since March 2020. Before her current role, she served as Interim Deputy State Comptroller from September 2019 until March 2020 and as the Arizona Department of Corrections Business Administrator from 2014 until 2019.
Prior to joining state government, Ms. Retsinas served as the Finance Manager for the University of Phoenix.
Ms. Retsinas has extensive experience in budget development, analysis, and oversight and is responsible for developing the State of Arizona's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report. She has managed budgets of more than $46 million and is highly proficient in financial and agency management and government operations.
She earned a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2013 and holds a Bachelor's degree in Management and Accounting.
