The Employer Relations Team is excited to host the annual ASRS Employer Conference starting on September 7, 2022, via Google Meet. Based on feedback received from the 2021 Employer Conference, ASRS is trying something different this year: virtual conference days that last from 8:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. that include breakout sessions on topics relevant to your responsibilities.
The one-day virtual conference will be held via Google Meet for multiple dates into October. The virtual conference doors will open at 7:45 a.m., with a general session beginning at 8:00 a.m. in the "Main Room" to share legislative changes, updates to the supplemental savings programs ASRS administers, and training on compliance processes that every employer representative should be aware of. After the general session, we will explain how the breakout sessions will work. From the Main Room, we will move attendees into their pre-selected virtual breakout sessions, where they'll be met by the session presenter.
Many of the attendees of previous conferences felt they had to sit through presentations that did not pertain to their role within their organization. We took that feedback to heart and designed a conference that offers four breakout sessions, with the following topics to choose from:
- Contribution Reporting: Learn more about contribution credits or adjustments or waiving membership and get your questions about the Alternate Contribution Rate for hiring retirees answered.
- Health Insurance Premium Benefit Program: If you are responsible for the health insurance program for your employer and need help with the forms ASRS requires or the monthly reconciliation report for premium benefits, this session is for you.
- Long Term Disability: Barry O'Dowd of Broadspire, our LTD Administrator, returns to share updates and information to help you navigate the LTD process and answer any questions you may have about disability scenarios.
- Q&A with Nationwide: A Nationwide representative will expand on the supplemental savings plans ASRS offers and field any questions you may have about employer participation and enrollment.
- Q&A with the Employer Relations Team: Do you have questions about membership, enrollment, or ending payroll verification? This is an opportunity to meet with two of our Quality Analysts to ask those questions and share any feedback you may have.
Registration Information
If you haven't already registered to attend, you have until August 31 to register. For the dates and agenda, check out our event flyer, then login to your secure employer account and click on Employer Meeting Registration for the available dates. You will be asked to select your breakout sessions during registration. An automated confirmation will be sent when your registration is approved, and a more detailed email with your selected breakout sessions will be sent shortly after. You will also receive a reminder a day before the event.
