Thinking about making an appointment

Thinking about coming in to see us?

For those who have not yet made an appointment but might want to, please consider the following before making that decision:

  1. Plan Ahead! The ASRS requires appointments for all 30-minute one-on-one meetings with benefit advisors regarding your retirement or health insurance options.
  2. Our staff schedules are fully booked well in advance. The next available appointment is generally 2-3 weeks in the future.
  3. Members who walk in to the ASRS offices without an appointment are unlikely to be able to see an ASRS Benefit Advisor that day.
  4. Our senior benefit advisors are available in Group Meetings (weekly) and on the phones (week days) and via secure messages from your myASRS account. You will get the same service without having to wait 2-3 weeks for a 30-minute appointment.
  5. Our website has all the answers too! Just log in to your secure account myASRS Login for details on your specific retirement.
  6. You cannot file for retirement right here in the office. You will get all your questions answered during the appointment, but then will file online in your secure myASRS account.
  7. United Healthcare and Sunlife Dental employees are on site every weekday in our ASRS office and do not require appointments. However you should call ahead on the day you want to come in to make sure they are available.

Give us a call to discuss whether an appointment with a benefit advisor is your best course of action.
