New! Online LTD Program Contact Maintenance

On January 9, 2015, the secure employer portion of the ASRS website will have a new page for maintaining employer contacts. Initially, this page will be used for maintaining Long Term Disability (LTD) contacts and we hope to expand the contact types in the future. Currently, the ASRS LTD claims administrator, Sedgwick CMS, maintains a list of who is eligible to sign LTD forms and receive the monthly reports. As of January 9, 2015, those designations will be made by online application Managers or the Employer Administrator through the new Maintain Employer Contacts page.

There will be two new LTD contact types available for designation:



• Authorized to sign LTD Employer claim packets

• May discuss claims with Sedgwick (phone and email)

• May log in to Sedgwick claims system online*

• Receives Monthly Claims Activity Reports

  • • Receives all LTD claim emails
    • o Claim received email
    • o Return to work email
    • o Claim approval email
  • • Termination/denial notice email
    • o Receives approval letter
    • o Receives denial letter


• Authorized to sign LTD Employer claim packets

  • • May discuss claims with Sedgwick (phone and email)


  • All existing contacts will be migrated into the secure ASRS employer website prior to the update release. Please log in to review contacts you have specified and to ensure they are up to date. After this initial review, the application Managers or Employer Administrator will only need to maintain them prospectively.

    *A new feature for LTD Associates will be the ability to log in to Sedgwick’s website and see current claims data such as payment history and the date of disability for claims from their employer. More information regarding the registration and login procedure will be coming from Sedgwick directly to the LTD Associates in February.
