James Mueller is a retired Valley attorney who spent much of his career in family law and was a senior partner with Mueller & Gallios, P.C.
He served as the former chair of the Family Law Section of the Arizona Bar and is a retired Certified Specialist in Family Law. He also served as chair of the Maricopa County Family Law Section, and as a Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Pro Tempore.
After retiring from a career in law, Mr. Mueller became a middle school teacher with the Scottsdale Unified School District, where he taught for 13 years. He was named teacher of the year at Cocopah Middle School.
Mr. Mueller is a graduate of Valparaiso University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree and Juris doctorate.
He has been a member of Valparaiso’s Board of Directors for more than 20 years serving, as chair of the Academic Affairs Committee, and as a member of the Campus Life Committee, Executive Committee, and former member of the Audit Committee.
He is a recipient of the University’s Alumni Achievement Award.
Mr. Mueller is a volunteer with Trevor’s Vision, a Valley charity dedicated to helping the homeless. He enjoys golf, travel, and other endeavors in retirement.
