Importance of Enrolling & Registering

There are currently more than 8,000 active employee accounts, with over 35 million dollars in employee and employer contributions, which are missing an address and date of birth. With no address on record, the ASRS has no means of contacting these members about their account balance.

The longer these accounts exist with crucial demographic information missing, the higher the probability the account will become “unclaimed property” and the greater the possibility for fraud. 

STRONGLY ENCOURAGE your staff to enroll with the ASRS, register for a secure myASRS account and keep their information up-to-date. Find out which of your contributing employees have never enrolled by viewing the Enrollments Required report on the Manage Enrollments page within your secure employer website. If you’re not sure the best way to reach out to your staff, ask the ASRS. We’re here to help!
