The ASRS has received reports that some employers who host retirement planning meetings for their staff have been confused by private financial firms offering to present information regarding ASRS plans.
It is not uncommon for members or employers to receive solicitations from financial planners wanting to provide retirement information. Please be advised that the ASRS is not affiliated with any such individuals or organizations, and is not responsible for these private solicitations. Further, the ASRS strongly cautions all members and retirees about providing personal information to persons or organizations that you do not know.
The ASRS does not solicit personal information via email or over the telephone, nor does it make its member contact lists available to private organizations. If you have any questions related to this matter, please contact the ASRS.
