The Status of In-Person Meetings

As the number of vaccinated Americans grows, the Arizona State Retirement System continues to evaluate the possibility of resuming our in-person presentations for both our employer partners and members. The most recent decision: to continue holding our meetings in a virtual environment.

The safety and health of our employers and members are our biggest priorities, and we want to make sure we are taking the proper measures to protect them. While virtual meetings may lack a physical presence, they make up for it with a robust webinar led by knowledgeable presenters. Also, attendees of virtual meetings are still able to ask questions just like they would during an in-person meeting, all from the comfort of their home or office.

With “retirement season” right around the corner, please encourage any of your employees who may be considering retirement to visit AzASRS.gov and register for one of our Route 3 or Route 4 webinars. They can register online through their secure myASRS account. And remember: if you as an employer have 20 or more employees and are interested in having a private retirement meeting, please send an Employer Secure Message with the proposed date and time for availability.

Also, the 2021 Employer Conference will be held virtually as well - just like last year - with a start date tentatively scheduled for late August. Please keep an eye out for upcoming communications for exact dates and registration instructions. Until then, please be safe as we navigate towards the new normal.
