A Review of the 2019 Employer Conference

The Employer Relations team conducted 26 Employer Conference training sessions this year between August 13th and October 16th. This year, the Employer Conference sessions included three webinars, two State Agency only meetings, and four meetings for K-12 schools only. 864 people attended this year’s sessions and 153 people took advantage of the three webinars. Based on the feedback we received from employers, the additional webinar was appreciated.

The Annual Employer Conferences, which employers are statutorily required to attend (A.R.S. § 38-716) are geared toward staff working in payroll, benefits, human resources, and administrative support positions. Topics covered this year included: recent legislative updates, rulemaking, ASRS website updates, Termination Incentive Programs (TIPs), the new Employer Relations review/analyze/monitor function, long term disability, and an optional review on compensation, the alternate contribution rate, and the 65+ membership waivers.

We at the ASRS appreciate your attendance at our meetings, and for your convenience the webinar will soon be available on our website. See you next year!
