To our members, employers & constituents:

As Arizona continues to adapt during this ongoing pandemic, I wanted to take a moment to update you on what we are doing to ensure your safety, that of our staff, and community as the ASRS continues to remain fully operational in all core services, including making all pension, disability, and health insurance payments.

While we have moved to a majority home-based workforce, the ASRS continues to process all retirement applications, forfeitures and similar service requests, as well as collecting contributions and keeping member accounts up-to-date. Retirees and LTD recipients can expect to continue receiving their benefit payments uninterrupted, on time, every month.

For your safety, our in-person individual and group meetings remain suspended. However, we have robust online learning opportunities for those looking for information on Retirement or other Member Benefits.

We have also moved our Board of Trustee meetings to a telephonic platform that still allows for public participation.

You may also wish to visit our COVID-19 page for more detailed information on our service levels, investments, learning opportunities, and links to other resources. We also have information on the federal CARES Act related to the ASRS Supplemental Savings Plans

I am also proud to report that during these trying times, the ASRS continues to meet your high standards for responding to member inquiries.

Among our many other duties, my colleagues and I are currently developing safe plans to eventually transition back to a more normal physical work setting. Although no dates have been set to return to a more normal physical work setting, we will be prepared with updated health protocols and safety measures – and likely enhanced flexibility for staff to accomplish their work!

I am also pleased to report that we have completed our analysis and selection of new dental firms for our retiree dental plans for the calendar year beginning January 1, 2021.

Finally, we are now in the early stages of analyzing and selecting health insurance companies to provide both Medicare-eligible and non-Medicare eligible plans for our retires.

I encourage you to visit our website to find answers to most of your questions, or to log into your myASRS account to send us a secure message.

Please stay safe.
