A new rulemaking initiative called “Regulation Rollback” is being implemented by the Governor’s Office and your input is needed.
“Regulation Rollback” is a strategic step in the Governor’s on-going work to make Arizona the best state in the nation for businesses and consumers alike. However, a lot of work still needs to be done to make sure outdated rules aren’t slowing us down.
The Governor’s Office has established a new online service to solicit recommendations on how to update Arizona’s administrative rules. With this initiative, rules will no longer remain in place “just because they’re on the books and nobody has bothered to change them.”
The Governor’s Office needs your help. You are the experts. Associations, organizations, and individuals across the state can recommend ways to improve or eliminate outdated rules. Please visit the portal below for your opportunity to provide input to the Governor’s Office on outdated rules that may stifle Arizona’s economy.
The Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) contributes more than $3 billion annually to the state’s economy in the way of pension, survivor, and forfeiture benefits. Your review of the ASRS rules may assist the Governor’s Office in this strategic endeavor.
Please review the ASRS rules located at Title 2 and submit any comments, suggestions, and recommendations you may have through the Governor’s Office portal by August 6, 2017.
After August 6, 2017, your recommendations will be reviewed by the Governor’s Office and the ASRS to ensure that outdated rules are updated or repealed accordingly.
