Employer Conference Roundup for 2018

The Employer Relations team just conducted another successful Employer Conference, presenting 23 on-site meetings throughout Arizona and 2 webinars.  In response to feedback received from focus groups held earlier in the year, the Employer Conference meetings schedule was adjusted to mid-August through mid-October to accommodate employers' busy schedules.  Several “Schools only” meetings were offered in the Phoenix area and additional meeting locations were added to the Conference schedule.  Also new this year, each meeting included an optional review session that covered membership, Return to Work laws, and administering the Health Insurance Premium Benefit.

As an ASRS employer it is your responsibility to attend the annual ASRS Employer Conference as required by statute (A.R.S. § 38-716).  All topics discussed at the Employer Conference are designed to help you, our partners by providing information that is timely and relevant to employers. Some of the topics covered at the conference include new legislation and administrative rules, current and future enhancements to employer processes, and any issues that have come up that may impact you.

The Employer Relations Team also offers ASRS Basics for Employers training sessions throughout the year. The Basics training sessions are designed to assist employer administrative staff that are new to the ASRS, or staff that’ve been transferred to a new position and just need a refresher on ASRS basics. In addition, the Employer Relations team can arrange one-on-one training regarding a specific topic(s) with you as well.
